Grow is the name of a family of employment-related projects commissioned by Hull City Council and its strategic partners. Grow aims to help Hull’s unemployed people gain skills and long term jobs, and help employers develop their business by providing them with the right staff. For more information about the project, visit Grow's website.
Where does Llite fit in?
Llite is part of the consortium delivering Grow. Specifically we are working with employers and employees to help sustain employment contracts once they have moved into work. This can be achieved in a number of ways:
- Workplace mentoring for employees and employers which may include support with travel, tool kits, childcare or signposting to support services
- Access to discretionary funding
- Work based training courses for employers to up skill their employees.
- High quality support for businesses facing downsizing. Working with local accountants as well as market leaders, KPMG and Rollits Solicitors, Grow can offer SME businesses 2 days of free consultancy in order to help develop strategies to improve local companies' viability
These are just some examples of the support available - our staff meet companies and tailor make a support package according to their individual needs.
Who are we working with?
Grow is a Hull City Council contract and Llite is part of a consortium of social enterprises and charities led by Probe which also includes Skills 4 Communities, Latitude and the Goodwin Development Trust. Llite is already working with a number of local employers but there are more places available.
How can your business benefit?
If you are a Hull based company, employing Hull based employees Llite will be able to link you into a range of support through the Grow project and, if required, we can help with recruitment needs.
